About the Academy

Proposed Curriculum

Phil. Private Detective and Investigation Academy Inc.

DESCRIPTION of the subject corresponds to the competencies specified in the curricula;

 

1. Pre-Licensing Training – A maximum of (1) month training comprising class room lecture and demonstration on proper handling of fire arms, proficiency shooting, resisting arrest techniques, and first aid.  Graduates of the said course will be accorded a Training Certificate which is the main requirement of the Philippine National Police Security Agencies and Guards, Supervision Division (PNP SAGSD) for the processing of security guard license.

 

2. In-Service Training – A course with (1) one week coverage intended to refresh all security guards who have complete (1) year service with any security agency.  This serve as follow up training to all trained security guards with an objective to improve their professionalism.  This is necessary for them to be updated with the changes on the policies and procedures of the government particularly the PNP and some changes in the society in general which they normally interface on their profession.  The more advance program of the course will help to enhance the knowledge of all security guards who were able to overcome the boredom of (1) year duty with out any physical activity.  This is a must requirements for all security guard in the country.

 

3. Supervisory Course – A follow up program of the in-service training which opens a challenge for deserving security guards to be given due recognition of their efforts and dedication to duty.  The three days coverage of the course will be concentrated on developing the supervisory skills of the security guards and their ability to handle people.  The course will prepare the security guards for a higher prospective of security management.

 

4. Private Detective course- A course covering a three days specialized training intended to enhance the skills and technical abilities of the security guards on the field of criminal investigation and other fields that may support the government law enforcement agencies on their crusade against criminal elements. 

 

Proposed Training System of

1. Class Room Lecture – The training center curriculum indicates the general coverage on the lecture to be at least 70% in order to cover the necessary theories that is needed for the respective courses.  Prospective trainers will be oriented on the proper approaches of lecture especially on the basic and advance courses.

 

 

 Pre- licensing trainees are to be given the benefit of the doubt being new to the security industry and that is but proper for them to be briefed in detail

 Prospective trainees for in-service will be likewise treated the other way around considering their status as trained security guards.  Trainers should concentrate on subjects that has something to do with up-liftment of the trainees in general.  The approach should be then more aggressive in nature in order to build up the trainees to a higher degree of professionalism.

 For the supervisory course, Prospective trainers should concentrate in building up the technical and managerial skill of the trainees.  Use of technical presentation and other applied skills will be utilized as a part of the curriculum.

 Private detective course is a specialized program that caters the improvement of the creative and innovative skills of prospective trainees through lectures on the procedural approaches, techniques and styles with the support of some workshops.

 

2. Demonstration- Will form part of the remaining 30% of the entire course.  This is   needed to   supplement all the theories taken on the lecture.  With such, the trainees will be actually appraised on the actual application and the proper way of affecting the discharging their function.  Drill ceremonies, actual firing and the different techniques of martial arts will be demonstrated as schedule.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

For the Application of Security Guard License (New)

 

   
  • Duly accomplished SAGSD Application Form with 2x2 picture (PNP SFO-2000)-available at the office
  • Duly accomplished SSS ID Application Form (e-6)
  • Birth certificate
  • High School Diploma
   
  • Applicants with no SSS number shall fill-up SSS    personal Record Form (E-1) at any SSS branch
   
  • Age Qualification-at least 18 years old & not more than 50 years old

 

 

CLEARANCES:

 

   
  • Neuro-Phsychiatric Clearance (Validated by PNP Health Services)
  • NBI Clearance
  • PNP DI Clearance
  • Court Clearance
  • Barangay Clearance
  • Mayors Clearance

 

 

For the Application of Security Guard License (Renewal)

 

   
  • Duly accomplished SAGSD Application Form with 2x2 picture (PNP SFOI-200)
  • Duly accomplished SSS ID Form (E-6)
  • Photocopy of old License
  • In-Service training Certificate( Authenticated by C, Records Br)
  • General Knowledge Examination (GKE)
  • Closing Report
 
 
 
 
 
   
  • Fill-up SSS Member’s Date Amendment Form (E-4), in case of discrepancy/error of entry of his Personal Record at SSS Main
